Mosaic Retaining Wall

During a road trip to the Interior of BC this summer (2020), we discovered beautiful stone alongside the roads and these materials inspired this mosaic. Most of the stone was hand cut using a hammer and hardie and was assembled partly in my studio and the remainder was installed directly onsite. The circle was built with cut slate, with raw rose quartz in the centre.

Many houses in Victoria, BC have a concrete wall leading up to their home, this can be the perfect place to add a mosaic that is as unique as you are. Artwork leading to your home can create a statement, and also give a welcoming feeling to your home.
